How much is it to book a kitchen?
Signing up for Syzl and browsing kitchens is free. You pay only when you book.
What you pay
The kitchen's hourly rate. Kitchens are booked by the hour, and each host sets their own rates. Rates depend on things like the equipment, the size of the space, amenities such as parking or pop-up dining space, and the location. A host can also set different rates for different days and times, for example lower off-peak rates.
A service fee. Syzl adds a service fee, typically 4% of the kitchen cost (before tax). It's listed separately on your receipt.
Sales tax. Tax depends on where the kitchen is (for example, GST/HST in Canada or sales tax in the US) and is shown on your receipt.
You pay in the currency of the kitchen's location: Canadian dollars for kitchens in Canada and US dollars for kitchens in the US.
A damage deposit may also apply to your booking. See Damage deposit.
If you have questions about claiming rates, fees or taxes as business expenses, talk to your accountant.
Where to find a kitchen's rates
Open Syzl and find a kitchen. See Searching for kitchens for tips.
On the listing, look for the avg cost/hr. This is the average of the kitchen's rates, including any higher or lower rates the host has set for certain times.
Tap Select time to open the kitchen's availability. Pick dates and times to see the exact rate for each slot. See Booking time slots.
You'll see the full cost, including the service fee and tax, before you send your request. To learn when your card is held and when it's charged, see Card holds and when you're charged. Syzl doesn't accept prepaid cards.
